How We Started...

From humble beginnings starting as a small team in 2010, we have worked tirelessly to earn our reputation as a trusted caterer, to secure custom and build our client base.

Ben and Jenny, the Founders of Manila Flavours, were both born and raised in the culinary capital of the Philippines - the Province of Pampanga. We have been cooking recipes from our heritage which can bring a sense of togetherness that spans generations. Our recipes are family secrets rooted in tradition. 

When we emigrated from the Philippines to the UK, a great way to combat the feeling of homesickness is to have food which reminded us of home. We always loved sharing our food with friends to the point where they have started asking us to cook for them for gatherings and private events.

We started cooking on a larger scale when our two daughters were turning Eighteen . They had their Debut, which is a traditional Filipino coming-of-age celebration which honours a young woman on her 18th birthday, the age of maturity in the Philippines. The guests who attended the Debut Parties were very curious to know who provided the catering services as they all thoroughly enjoyed and were constantly complimenting the food. This has enabled us to kickstart our catering business; along with our children, we want to continue sharing and providing authentic Filipino dishes not only to the Filipino communities who are sorely missing home, but to also introduce the goodness of Filipino Cuisine to a wider audience.

Growing word-of-mouth recommendations and repeat businesses reflect the strength of our company and drive our growth and expansion year after year. Today, Manila Flavours is considered prime provider of catering services to the British-Filipino communities across the Midlands.
